Job Summary

We are looking for a dependable, bi-lingual, full-time medical receptionist in our busy Dunkirk, NY office. Responsibilities include greeting patients, scheduling appointments, answering a multi-line phone, preparing charts, verifying insurance, retrieving prior authorizations and collecting payments. Strong computer skills, and the ability to multi task are a must. Applicant must be willing to travel and be able to work some Saturdays. Previous reception experience preferred. Health insurance, 401K and vacation offered after probation period.

General Accountabilities

  • Greets visitors and obtains name and other pertinent information, notifying appropriate individuals of visitor’s arrival while checking in and checking out patients when needed.
  • Schedules and confirms patient appointments properly per the doctor’s schedule.
  • Prepare new patient and current patient charts properly per day
  • Faxing
  • Maintains contact with labs, pharmacies and other physicians.
  • Scanning in insurance information and medical records into patient charts.
  • Collets patient copays and deductions at the time of service and posts payments properly to patient accounts.
  • Balance nightly deposits to properly match money taken in throughout the day.
  • Recording and maintaining inventory.
  • Answers a multi-line phone system and routes calls, as necessary, to appropriate individuals.
  • Accurately takes and delivers messages.
  • Accepts and signs for packages and notifies addressee of package arrival.
  • Performs a variety of routine clerical tasks.
  • Maintains clean and orderly reception area and waiting area.

Medical Technician

Job Summary

Medical Technician position for a high performance Eye Care Center in Seneca, PA. We are looking for someone who is friendly with the highest level of customer service and level of care to join our team.

Conducts diagnostic tests to determine intraocular pressure and pupil testing for size, equality and reaction prior to dilation.

General Accountabilities

  • Administers diagnostic tests.
  • Maintains well detailed completed charts prepared for Doctors with Patient medical information, HPI, VA, IOP, etc.
  • Conducts tests to determine intraocular pressure.
  • Administers topical or oral medications and knowing what drops are needed and when to use said drops.
  • Assists physicians in performing procedures.
  • Maintains instruments or equipment.
  • Measures distance and near visual acuity using appropriate tests.
  • Reads spectacles and knowing the difference between single vision, bifocal, trifocal or progressive lenses.
  • Operates equipment as necessary.
  • Handles Equipment properly in office and traveling.
  • Assist other areas in the office when needed including but not limited to; reception, billing and optical prn.
  • Scanning patient testing tech only and Optometrist days.
  • Stocking each work up and exam rooms with appropriate paperwork.
  • Awareness of what is needed to travel with Dr. Wuebbolt and making sure someone is responsible for the supplies and equipment needed for those days.
  • Maintains exam and work up rooms and office which include but are not limited to:
    • Cleaning counters and sweeping floors
    • Organize supplies
    • Stocking supplies in all rooms and office
    • Removing garbage before leaving in exam and workup rooms
