The Community Surgery & Laser Center
It is the policy of The Community Surgery & Laser Center that it will not discriminate against any individual, staff, patient or visitor with respect to race, color, national origin, ancestry, age, gender, religious creed, union membership, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, AIDS or HIV status or disability. Our facility will provide reasonable accommodation for employees/patients/visitors with a special need whatever they may be. Please, call the Center (814-726-2303) in advance to inform us so that we can make the necessary arrangements.
The purpose of this policy is to protect the rights of individuals. The Community Surgery & Laser Center will not discriminate with respect to:
- Admission of care
- Assigning patient to rooms, floors and sections (if applicable)
- Assignment of staff to patient services
- Staff privileges of professionally qualified personnel
- Utilization of health care facility
- Transfer of patients
The Community Surgery & Laser Center has agreed to comply with the provisions of the Federal Civil Rights Act of 1964(42U.S.C.A. 2000e-2000e17) and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act (43P.S. 951-962.2) and all requirements imposed pursuant thereto.
This policy will be posted in the surgery center and on the CEC website.
